Originally constructed in the 1890s, the Mathew Bruno Rutherford Estate conveys old-world Napa Valley charm with a modern twist, in a house that was once considered to be “the finest house in Rutherford”. This project has long been a dream of our family. Upon first sight of the property, we knew this was the place for friends and family to come enjoy our wines in a truly historic location.

THE ALL WHITES TASTING

While our journey began in 2009 with a singular focus on Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, our white wines have since earned widespread acclaim and become an integral part of our portfolio. This tasting is designed for white wine enthusiasts and showcases a selection of our most celebrated white wines, offering a refreshing and distinctive perspective on our winemaking.

THE RUTHERFORD ESTATE TASTING

Enjoy a thoughtfully curated tasting of our current release wines, featuring two white wines and two red wines that showcase the depth and diversity of our portfolio. Hosted in a comfortable semi-private setting, either indoors or on our scenic wraparound porch, you’ll take in views of the courtyard, lavender garden, bocce court, and neighboring Star Vineyard. As our signature tasting experience, this journey offers a comprehensive introduction to our wines, winemaking philosophy, and the unique character of our estate.

THE FIVE YEAR POUR

Curated by Mathew Bruno himself, this is the pinnacle of our tasting offerings. Designed for devoted red wine enthusiasts, this elevated experience showcases the very best of our cellar, with a focused selection of our most compelling red wines. Guests will explore a hand-selected lineup of Mathew’s favorite library releases alongside our acclaimed single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons from the legendary Stagecoach Vineyard and the iconic To Kalon Vineyard in Oakville. This intimate tasting offers a rare opportunity to experience the depth, structure, and evolution of our red wines at their finest.

THE AL FRESCO LUNCH + WINE EXPERIENCE

Savor a leisurely afternoon at the Estate with an extended tasting paired with a thoughtfully curated lunch from local favorite Oakville Grocery. Designed for guests who appreciate a more relaxed pace, this private experience captures the essence of Napa Valley hospitality, bringing together exceptional wines, seasonal cuisine, and a beautiful vineyard setting. Enjoy a selection of Mathew Bruno wines alongside your lunch while taking in views of Star Vineyard and the surrounding estate grounds.
